minor updates

dchenesThanksgiving was marvelous; it involved, as usual, excellent company and too much food, and enough pie to last four of us until today. (I had the last of the blueberry pie as part of lunch.)
I also read two and a half books I hadn't read before, and came home with the one I'm halfway through (Bel Canto, by Ann Patchett. I'm not sure it's as good as everybody says it is.).
My cats are Very Glad I'm home, and I've been lectured at and had my nose exfoliated and kicked Lily off the desk three or four times.
And I don't have to go go work tomorrow, either. Ha!
