dchenesToday I am a much happier camper. Zoe is almost completely better, and I got almost enough sleep, and my hair doesn't need washing and therefore isn't making my scalp crawl.
I got $8500 in financial aid from Kent State, which is rather nice now but will add another $17K to my existing student loan debt in two years if they do the same next year. I spent most of an hour online last night filling out the "if you don't pay your loans back, we take your first-born kid" forms. They don't say anything different now than they did in 1993, although at least now you only have to fill them out once. I did them once per year of undergrad study.
I've figured out my problem with packing. I keep putting it off because living in a half-packed apartment is disturbing, and enough other things in my life are disturbing right now that I want to save home as a place I feel completely safe. Unfortunately, not packing is not an option.
Other random thoughts:
Baby food is expensive. No wonder my parents used a food grinder when we were that age.
It's physically impossible to keep the two other cats away from something you're trying to give to only one cat.
I want the thunderstorms back if it's going to be cloudy and humid.
Today calls for actual breakfast
