Dec. 12th, 2011 03:48 pmOutlook really needs an "air horn" attachment, so that when you're answering the same question from the same person for the third time, you can attach the air horn and blast the recipient with it when they open the email. Maybe then they'd pay attention. (Probably not, but I like the idea anyway.)
I should have taken today off, but in this particular office you can't take a personal day without notice, and I missed my chance to take a sick day when I had Niagara of the Nose last week. Of course, last week was P&R week, so taking a day off would've been a Very Bad Idea.
My rescheduled voice lesson, which was supposed to be tomorrow, got canceled this morning. That's probably a good thing because I suspect I'd have to be an alto tomorrow, based on what's going on in my sinuses. But I really do want to have a voice lesson someday soonish. The last one I had was before Thanksgiving.
To turn up the thermostat to 60, or not to turn up the thermostat to 60, that is the question; whether 'tis nobler to save some money on the fuel bill and keep warm by wearing layers and shivering, or to turn up the heat to a level suited to the season. I think I'll stop dithering (and snarling at the heat when it doesn't come on), and turn it up when I get home.
