I have a load of laundry in the wash that should really go in the dryer right now. However, I'm stalling for two reasons. One, I want to go merf around elsewhere for a while soon, and I don't leave home when the dryer is running. Two, I know there's a spider in the washing machine and I'm not sure it's dead. If it isn't dead, it's probably going to bite me when I get the laundry out. So as far as I'm concerned, the laundry can just stay in the washing machine until I'm good and ready to deal with it. But I hate leaving wet laundry in the washing machine in humid weather. Harumpf.

(I suppose I could get the laundry out of the washing machine with tongs, so as to put some distance between my fingers and potential spider bites. Is that absolutely ridiculous, or does it just sound that way?)
