Nov. 11th, 2015 01:46 pmI think I have a new vet. Having the vet come to me, instead of me hauling 23 lb of cats in carriers down to the vet, makes it easier for at least me and the cats. And the new vet (Dr. Gransky) didn't seem to have much trouble doing what needed doing, and Snip only hissed at him once. To be fair, she hissed at Dr. Kaplan too, because she does not like rabies shots. The cherry on top is, Dr. Gransky's house call is half the price of a visit to the Metro Cat Hospital. So, no Zipcar-and-cat-carriers dance, no making me dislike driving more than usual by adding unhappy cats to it, all I have to do is bribe the cats with provolone and shut them in the bathroom for ten minutes, for under $400? SCORE. New vet. Thank you, Dr. Gransky!
Lily's grape-sized lump is a benign cyst, which is more or less what I thought it was (either cyst or lipoma), but it's nice to have confirmation. It didn't seem to bother her at all, so I figured it wasn't an abscess. And it just sat there and didn't change size or color or anything, so I figured it wasn't cancer. And lo, it wasn't.
On to the next thing, whatever the next thing is.
