dchenesToday is a better day mentally, but less so technologically. My cable modem was dead when I got up this morning. After miscellaneous poking and prodding and looking at settings and not seeing anything useful, I called the cable company, and they said "Oh yeah, there's an outage, so just wait till it comes back on." So I did, and it works again now.
I've fought my Semiotics exam out to 10 pages, and I think I'm almost done with it. I'm not all that happy with it, but I'm at the point where my brain shuts down after about an hour of working on it and then I have to talk myself into getting back to it after fifteen minutes of not working on it.
The head modeling job I've got now is going to be tough, because the instructor is very funny and I have to keep not laughing.
I have a lot of non-academic thinking to do one of these days when I can take the time to do it.
