This is getting embarrassing. I'm getting another raise, and my boss was apologetic that I couldn't go up another pay grade...yet. Everyone else at my level, seniority notwithstanding, is at the same grade I am. My boss thinks the institution may change that at some point and I'll be going up again. But I am an official manager as far as HSDM HR is concerned, and I'm getting sent to manager training in April. Maybe I won't need the lottery in order to afford new rugs. Or at least a new rug for the bedroom, because Snip is doing an excellent job destroying the current one. There's decapitated fringe and rug fuzz all over the place. Given that it was a Home Despot special when I bought it, I shouldn't be surprised.
