dchenesI got Dad to bust up laughing when I called just to ask him if he wanted me to mail him some tongue depressors to build catapults with. (I warned him I had a silly question for him, but I don't think he was expecting that flavor of silly question.) I hadn't heard him laugh like that in several years. And yes, on Friday I have to go to the post office with the extra tongue depressors from Oral Health Day on Wednesday.
Immediately after that I had to get off the bus and run back to work because I'd left my ID on the counter next to the copier. I still think making us swipe our ID to scan anything or make copies is a massively stupid idea. It leads to things like leaving your ID on the counter because you need copies in a hurry and you're thinking about what you're doing with them. The Powers That Be were threatening to make us swipe ID to print anything, too, but that was either declared a massively stupid idea or cost too much, because it hasn't happened yet. I bet it cost too much. But it's still a massively stupid idea. If I ran the universe...
Well, never mind. If I ran the universe it wouldn't snow at all this winter, and it's supposed to snow tonight.
