dchenesI haven't been so happy since January. The election is over, Trump is out (in January), and Harris is VP. Somebody I went to high school with and am FB friends with has an adopted Black daughter, who can look at the White House now and say "See, I can do that too!" and she doesn't have to be the first one to do it.
I was in the liquor store when I found out. The clerks were talking about it and said something like "when it was over" and I said "It's not over yet, is it?" and one of them said "Yeah, they called it." At which point I started grinning like an idiot and didn't stop for about half an hour.
Coolidge Corner busted out in hollering and car horns. Brighton hasn't noticed as far as I know, but I don't care. It's over. I took a screenshot of the NY Times front page just so I can look at it when I'm not sure it's really over.
I have to go to Whole Foods for seltzer and stew beef, but when I get home from that, the drinking can commence. Zombie Killer it is.
