mutter mutter taxes mutter mutter...

My taxes are comparatively simple to do, since I don't have any strange deductions. However, since my address has changed, I can't use the forms that came to Brighton in the mail. So I downloaded the Massachusetts forms, and can fill those out when I get around to printing them. I can get the 1040 and the Ohio (and the Portage County) forms from the KSU library. I would be a lot more inclined to do that if it wasn't snowing out, though. Yesterday it was spring, and today it's snowing. It must be February.

I'm going to a conference on training translators and studying translation in the US over spring break. The conference is at UMass Amherst, and KSU is renting a van to drive out there, so I don't have to pay airfare. Since I'm a grad student, the conference registration fee is only $20, and my parents are willing to pay for my lodging. I figure the networking potential will be worth going to the conference, at least. I should see about business cards at some point before that. I've never had business cards before. Secretaries generally aren't important enough.

There are things I could be doing, and things I should be doing, but I have no idea what I actually feel like doing.
