dchenesGot it. Now I know what I'm writing this bloody paper about, and I've got enough details to make a good start at it. (The original play is a work of theater; the translation I've got is a work of literature, and I'm going to prove that.)
I feel somewhat better now, although I've still got too much work to get done and I'd really like another week in which to do it.
Oh yes, I must remember to make more copies of the final text I'm translating. I did that once already, but the copies have disappeared. I know I didn't throw them out, but I have absolutely no idea where I put them.
If I can get the rest of the presentation stuff done tonight, I'll be in pretty good academic shape, all things considered.
