uphill battles
Apr. 23rd, 2004 11:04 amI get to hike back down to Campus Environment & Operations on Monday for an interview. Should I tell them straight out that I need August 16 off to come back from Boston, I wonder? Or should I wait until I've got the job? I know I won't get paid for that day in any case.
The paper I was supposed to have written for Monday and now have to have written for next Friday has been through three incarnations and I still don't know if I like it enough to write 15 pages of it. It's getting to the point where I just have to tell myself to shut up and write, and if it needs major revisions, I'll deal with those later. I wish I would stop feeling that anything I write is inadequate. Part of the problem is that I'm writing in French, and I've been told umpteen times already that my French is inadequate. (Well, of course it is, when I'm talking to native speakers. It's intimidating speaking French to native speakers.)
My neck aches. I wonder what I've done to it?
