Jun. 9th, 2004 01:19 pmYesterday I hiked out to Walmart looking for a laundry cart, which of course they didn't have. At least I got a six-mile walk and a bit of a tan in the process. I should have bought a lawn chair while I was there, dammit, but I forgot. My last hope for a laundry cart is the hardware store, which sells practically everything. Maybe they sell chairs...
I should get off my backside and actually go to the library and the post office and the hardware store, but it's 85 degrees and humid out there and it's rather nice in here. At least there's a breeze today. We're being promised thunderstorms again, for tomorrow.
I wonder if we'll get a federal holiday for Carter's funeral when he dies?

Date: 2004-06-09 12:47 pm (UTC)We don't get a federal holiday here, but we get an easy commute because the federal government is closing. This happens about six or eight times out of the year for various reasons - if the rest of the country closed as much as the federal government, we'd never get anything done.
