I just got back from getting my hairs cut. They look the same as they did before, only shorter, and the streak is no longer orange at the top and starts where it ought to, instead of starting somewhere around my ear. My bangs, on the other hand, look even worse than they did the last time I cut them myself. Granted, they were uneven to begin with, but now they're really obviously uneven. To be fair, they didn't look that way when they were wet, so it's not entirely the stylist's fault; they only started looking that way when I brushed them out just now. I'm seriously considering giving up entirely and growing them out (which, of course, will cause me to go through umpteen more stages of looking ridiculous on the way to having them grown out, but c'est la vie.)

This being the last hurrah for the streak, I think next time I spend a lot of money on my hair I'm going to have the whole works dyed redder than it is now. Going darker wouldn't work, and there's a fair amount of red in my hair anyway. (There always has been, and I've got the baby pictures to prove it.)

I wish there was a Kentish equivalent of Michael's. Oh well.
