Last week I was walking around Boston thinking, "Yep, they're back". The place was crawling with college students. People are starting to reappear in Kent too; when I was going down to the laundromat the other day, I got honked at by somebody who used to come to the French coffee hour last year. He was going the other way. I'm damned if I can remember his name, though, and that bothers me a little. He looks like an Andreas, but I know that isn't it.

I think today calls for an expedition to see if by some miracle or other they've posted the book lists for the fall semester courses yet. They hadn't as of when I left, and Satterfield is closed on weekends. It would be nice to have books to start the semester with. (Besides, maybe if I'm not home, the UPS delivery I'm awaiting with bated breath will get here. It always seems to work that way.)

Hm. I seem to have more of a list of errands than I thought:

- Go to Satterfield to find out about books
- If lists are posted, go see about buying books, including new appointment book
- Deposit check that was sitting in Boston waiting for me (silly KSU sent it to my former permanent address)
- Go to CVS for spray bottle to water new bonsai with

CVS is, of course, in the opposite direction from all the other errands, but it's a nice day out and walking, so they say, is good for you. So there.
