Sep. 9th, 2004 08:23 pmToday was a long day. It wouldn't be over yet if I hadn't decided I was too hungry to go to a meeting at 8:00.
We had the first French coffee hour today. Good thing I got there early, because it's very hard to have a coffee hour if the coffee maker is missing. So I (literally) ran home and got mine, and came back and made coffee. After the coffee hour I ended up having a longish discussion with one of my professors on the subject of computers in general, Windows in particular and what I'd need in order to run Trados on a Windows machine in specific.
At that point it was 2:00, and I decided I wanted to go downtown and see if I could find a bag I could carry more than one binder and one book around in. So I did, and on the way back I stuck my head into the tattoo place just to see what it had for flash. (I think I may have changed my mind about my next tattoo being kanji; I found a dragon I really liked. We shall see, though.)
By the time I got home again, it was 3:00 and I was starving, so I came home and made a sandwich and inhaled that, and printed out the six pages of stuff I had to turn in tonight, and put stuff in the new bag. Then I had a class from 4:30 to 7:00, went up to the computer lab to work on a project I'm going to finish tomorrow, decided I wasn't going to the meeting at 8:00, came home instead, and here I am.
I managed to give myself a fairly large bruise on the left leg by walking into a table. Ow.
Still hungry. Need protein, I think.

Date: 2004-09-10 07:34 am (UTC)And just for the hell of it, a very bad and amusing pun (from 'The Wit of Madame Fifi):
What do the French call it when you move a book from one shelf to another?
