Rawr, in several different contexts
Sep. 27th, 2004 02:41 pmI've had my first major argument with Panther. It seems to have massacred my printer driver, so I had to download that again, and now everything prints in reverse order. I suppose I can get used to that, as long as it prints. I suspect it thinks it's being helpful because now page 1 comes out on top.
What I was trying to print was the translation of this stuff with statistics in it. I have to go tearing off to the library and look up a mess of stuff before tomorrow afternoon, and it helps to have the translation in hand when you're trying to look up terms. (The library, apparently, has a French dictionary of statistics, which I hope will have some of this stuff in it. I have to hunt up some parallel texts, besides.)
I did manage to import some more songs into my mp3 list, which is now so eclectic that I've called it Mixed Fruit & Bait.
So, in short:
Rawr, the printer situation was frustrating! (and stop helping! I like printing page 1 first!)
Rawr, I won over the printer! (and I suppose I can deal with reverse order.)
Rawr, statistics is NOT my chosen field and it won't go away!
Rawr, I win over iTunes!
So, I am grad student with mostly functional computer system, hear me roar. Or something.
