I seem to have ruined a $30 piece of linen, because I forgot that 32-count linen over 2 threads works out to 16 stitches per inch, and the piece I cut out of the $30 piece is too small. On top of which, I can't get a piece the right size out of what I've got left. I really shouldn't cut linen when I'm thinking about seventeen other things.

Oh no!

Is it entirely too small, or just not-enough-framing-allowance too small? If it's the latter, that can be worked around.

It's entirely too small for what I wanted to use it for, and I think it might be not-enough-framing-allowance for the other project I could use it for. The remnant is L-shaped, and too skinny to do anything with at the moment. I'm sure I'll find a use for it later, but for now it's pretty much useless.

I've been making stupid mistakes all over the place for two days now. Sigh.

That sucks. I'm sorry.
