It took me forever to get going this morning. Which is probably due to the fact that I went to bed about two hours later than I should have last night and got up when I usually get up. By tomorrow morning, I should be mostly caught up on my sleep.

Anyway, I managed to go grocery shopping before it rained, which was very sneaky of me because it poured after I got home. I'm debating whether shrimp and spinach and garlic and ricotta and miscellaneous other things would make a better calzone or a better pizza. (Calzones don't automatically involve sauce, and I'm not sure whether I want any sauce in the first place, or whether I want white sauce if I want any. I'm a miracle of indecision today).

Tangerines are on sale, and I bought some, and I've been thinking about the story of the emperor and the tangerines from The Story of the Stone all day. I'm going to have to haul that out and read it again. Hm. Tea and tangerines sounds like dessert to me, and I think I'll bring tangerines to the coffee hour tomorrow. I don't think I can eat an entire half-flat myself in a week.

After I went grocery shopping, I came home and had lunch and then went to hand in my L10N project for this week. For once, I was able to do most of it at home, because it was all messing around with Photoshop files, and I happen to have Photoshop 7 at home. So it took me two hours last night, and an hour this afternoon, and it's done. Now I can spend this evening on the composition exercises I finally got ahold of yesterday, which I wish would only take three hours, but will probably take more like four or so.

Apparently my surrogate grandfather is in about the same shape my real grandfather was in back in August, when he went to the rehab center after being in the hospital for a while. At least he went home after that. Now my real grandfather is going from rehab into an assisted living complex as soon as they find one everybody likes ("everybody" being my grandfather, my father and his sisters).

It would be a marvelous day for a nap if it wouldn't play hell with my sleep schedule. Maybe I'll have to start drinking half-decaf coffee again occasionally instead of giving it up altogether.

I'm glad things aren't quite as dire for him as first thought, and I hope they find a good spot for him.
