nature's own refrigerator
Dec. 13th, 2004 06:03 pmGiven that it's pouring snow out, I decided that the quickest way to cool down a quart of mint tea is to leave it on the doorstep until the pizza guy gets here (which, given that it's pouring snow out, might be a while. I live within walking distance of the pizza place, but if I went to get the pizza myself, it would be cold by the time I got back). Since I'm waiting for the pizza guy to get here, I might not forget about the tea entirely.

Date: 2004-12-14 03:43 pm (UTC)You can not use a snow bank to make jello. You get unstable and crumbling Popsicles without any sticks.
Being Jello however, you can let them melt and pop them in the fridge to make it all come out in the end.
An then there was the year my mother insisted on, instead of cleaning the refrigerator, keeping the extra milk on the back porch.
Frozen milk is not the same thing as iced milk, and trying to filter out the ice gets you something that's beyond skim milk for complete lack of flavor or actual milk.
