dchenesIt's very bright out, because the sun is out and reflecting off the snow. I'm enjoying it, as long as I'm indoors. If we're lucky it'll get up to 25 today. The weather-optimist bit of my brain is in mourning.
I spent yesterday, while it was snowing, amusing myself by picking the embroidery out of a set of linen napkins and tablecloth (or something) that my grandmother gave my mother. It was really awful embroidery; the set was intended for use at card parties, and it's got playing cards and card suits all over it. It looks like a set design piece from one of those scary cookbooks from the 1950s. However, it's on decent linen, and when I'm done picking the embroidery out, I can use the linen to mess around with. The tablecloth has various stains on it and a sizable hole in one side, but I can cut that side off and still have a fairly large piece of linen left over.
Anybody know where I can find a reasonably accurate but not terribly complicated picture of an octopus? (It's for another embroidery project.)
