the opposite of Congress...
Apr. 4th, 2005 04:26 pm...is progress, of course.
Today is a day of Getting Things Done, even though I'm not getting as much done today as I did last Friday. I'm making lists, and making progress of sorts on several fronts.
I decided that in order to get apartment hunting, Memorial Day weekend travel and associated other things to all play nicely together, I'm going to try to come into Boston on the Tuesday before Memorial Day weekend and leave on the Tuesday immediately after. Hopefully that will also mean I have less of a chance of the travel dates being blacked out and can actually use this free ticket, finally. (Still on that list: make the actual reservations, and find crash space for the week since Union St is no longer viable, and print a letter of 30 days' notice before moving, to drop in the mail to Ohio the minute I find a place in Boston.)
I also started thinking seriously about the analysis for my case study. I can't leave the translation alone entirely; it's still got another draft to go (I think), but I've got to start writing the analysis this week. The Spanish students say the first draft of their analysis is due on the 12th. I think I could do that too if I put my mind to it.
There's only one driving school in the phone book that says it will come to Kent. So I have to call them. I should quit typing this and do that. (Their line is busy.)
I got my federal tax refund today, so I'm trying to decide whether I want to be good and not spend it, or whether I want to do something really nice for myself with it.

I would recommend looking on Craigslist for apartments.
