Hooray, it's Friday, and there's new Farscape on tonight!
My birthday cake turned out not to be a cake and not set on fire either. It turned out to be a dessert called Paillason, (which is quite possibly misspelled), and which was creme brulee custard sandwiched between wafers of shredded phyllo dough, three tiers' worth. And mango sauce, and raspberry sauce, and strawberries. YUM.
Yesterday, being the day after my birthday, I was so tired I kept making stupid mistakes. To begin with, I put my shirt on backward, and didn't notice until I was brushing my teeth and saw the tag sticking up in the front. Then I managed to walk out of the house without a book to read on the train, so I was spacing out and forgot to get off the train at the right stop.
When I got to work I tried to stick a floppy in upside down, and then when I went to eject it, I hit the power button instead of the eject button and turned the computer off. I felt like an idiot all day. When I got home I more or less stayed upright long enough to cook and eat some tortellini, and then I fell asleep on the sofa downstairs. I feel a lot better today, which is good, because there's new Farscape (I said that already) on at 10 tonight and I want to be awake for it.
I should do something about putting up a userpic, except I can't think of one that works for where I am now, life-wise.
