OK, I admit it, I'm completely hooked on Technosphere. I'm not even entirely sure why. In case anyone else is reading this and wants to know what I mean, it's at http://www.technosphere.org.uk.

My ribs are better. Yesterday I only hurt when I got tired.

I finally got all the stuff off my old computer that I wanted on my new computer. For some reason the old computer would only recognize the zip drive if I turned the extensions off. It took a while to figure that out, but I finally got all 28MB of stuff (which is a really pitiful amount, in the long run) on the new computer. Now I have desktop pictures I actually like, and writing I can't open because I wrote it with MS Word and I don't want MS anything on the new computer. Oh well. At the rate I write, OpenOffice will be out for OS X by the time I want to write anything again.

I'm really looking forward to this week being over. There's a lot of random craziness going on at work and I'm tired of trying to keep up with it. I think it's partly the time of year (applicant interviews and first year students starting in the clinic and boss lecturing in Europe one of these months) and partly the fact that I'm going through a period of wishing I could turn the world around and force my own I-want-what-I-want-when-I-want-it demands on people, instead of having to deal with theirs.

I have to remember to buy stamps so I can pay bills and get the utility and credit card companies' I-want-what-I-want-when-I-want-it out of the way for the month.
