My feet hurt, which is what I get for walking halfway across campus in shoes I haven't worn in months. But, the exam is over with. There were about 40 people taking it, and they'll hire the top 10 for various secretarial positions. Some of the things we had to do on paper are things nobody in their right mind does on paper any more if they have a computer that will do it (like event planning, for instance). And some day, somebody's going to accept that the fact that my resume says I've done this stuff for a living for multiple years with one employer means I know what I'm doing.

In any case, that's over with, and I'm wearing my shearling-lined slippers so my feet will quit complaining. And it's Friday, and the sun is shining, and it's warm enough to go out with a sweater instead of a coat on. So the general news is, I survived this week, and next week will be better. Life is pretty good.

If the burrito I just finished eating had been long instead of wide, it probably would have been the size of my entire forearm. That's what I get for eating one carton of yogurt, two cookies and a cup of coffee between 7:10 this morning and 5:00 this afternoon.

I feel like I walked about five miles today. I did get a hell of a lot of errands done, though.
