bits and pieces
Apr. 12th, 2004 03:47 pmI had my teeth cleaned this morning. The dentist I went to was highly impressed that I had made it to 28 years old and still had no cavities. I was impressed too, since I was overdue for a cleaning by at least six months. I must have very hard teeth or something. Anyway, now my hair smells like the dentist's office.
I'm within 40 pages of having all of my reading done. Halleluia. Now if one or two of the three major projects due in the next three weeks would just go away, without my spending umpteen hours getting them to go away...
Yesterday, in keeping with tradition, I made lasagna. When I took the foil off it to brown up the cheese, of course half of the cheese had stuck to the foil and wound up going SPLAT on the floor. Mutter, grumble, add more cheese, wash floor. The lasagna itself was quite tasty, though, and is going to be dinner for the rest of the week (and possibly breakfast this weekend, too.)
I seem to be having a run of odd dreams lately. Fortunately they're merely odd and not so disturbing that I need to go buy beer. I've been sort of thinking about buying beer anyway; the last time I had any was in October, if I remember correctly. I seem to have a taste for porter, which amuses me, considering how long it took me to like beer at all.
If it's going to rain, I wish it would just do it and get it over with.
Oh, by the way, DMC metallic embroidery thread (the kind on a spool, not in a skein) is an utter pain in the ass to deal with.
