I skipped karate last night because once you get into a TagEditor file, it's hard to find a good place to stop. So, I spent about five hours on my L10N midterm, came home, put together the liquid crystals final translation and parallel texts, put together the parallel texts for the in-class translation we're doing today, had dinner, did the composition exercises for Thursday, worked on the test translations some more, finally pulled myself out of those at 2 AM, and went to bed.
I've just sent off the test translations, and now I have to finish the L10N midtern, start the composition for Thursday, and start the SciTechMed midterm that's due next Tuesday and that I haven't even touched yet.
I now know more than I ever wanted to about EZ Extract Resource (my L10N midterm project) and lipo-atrophy treatment for HIV patients (the medical test translation). One of my classmates described a translator's knowledge base as "an inch deep and a mile wide", and he was right. I know a little about a lot of different things.
