Sep. 11th, 2005 07:14 pmI had a very social weekend, which was good. I also spent a lot more money than I really meant to, which is not so good, but now at least I don't have to spend $30 on dry cleaning every week. (I bought some new work clothes.)
I also bought a short closet pole, and discovered that the current closet pole got put in such that the only way I can see to get it out involves a saw. Each end of the pole is sitting in a socket 3/4" deep Either I saw the pole in two such that one piece is long enough to go from the socket to the holding bracket in the middle, or I saw out the socket on one end so I can lift the pole out. I'd like to keep the existing pole in one piece if possible, because that was the condition in which I took possession of it. This is probably one of those situations in which the solution is absurdly easy and somebody will tell me what it is, and I'll kick myself for not seeing it. All I want is to be able to hang up my long skirts without having to drape the last several inches or so of them over the lower closet pole; why so difficult?
