Wednesday

Today I'm not tired, which is nice, and I'm beating the document tracking database into shape. What I'm trying to do is come up with one report that will give me everybody whose SOP date is February 28, and tell me what documentation is missing for each person. I think I might be able to get that by the end of the day.

Then there's the post-SOP documentation, which merely involves assembling five different packets, all with overlapping contents. I've got a whole other report for that, and eventually I'll figure out how to make it work. (I hope.)

Last night at Diesel I finally finished reading a book I'd been trying to finish since last month. I've discovered that when I head off to catch a bus, and bring a book I'm really interested in, the bus shows up almost instantly so I don't get any reading done while I wait. Anyway, it was nice to finally finish the book last night.

I had a moderately brilliant idea last night, right before I fell asleep, and now not only have I forgotten the idea, I've forgotten the general subject it was about. I do know it wasn't about the paper for San Diego, which I have to start writing this week.

Oh well. If anybody happens to catch a loose moderately brilliant idea running around, point it back here, please.
