major minor gripes
Apr. 3rd, 2006 03:23 pmWhile I realize that it's the day before the SOP meeting, and therefore the votesheets and the agenda and the reviews take precedence over practically everything else, it does annoy me somewhat to be interrupted about once a minute for about eight minutes regarding either the SOP votesheets/agenda/reviews, or about the other stuff I can't do while I'm working on those.
Oh, and by the way, just because I happen to be closest to the reception desk, and therefore the easiest person to ask to answer the phones while anyone goes to lunch/to the bathroom/upstairs to run an errand/off to help set up a meeting (along with everyone else who could be asked to answer the phone)/etc., it doesn't necessarily mean that I'm flattered to be asked to mind the phones all the time. Especially not on Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday, when I don't have a choice about it for an hour at lunchtime anyway.
Where did the spring weather go? (And why could I not remember where I put my spring jacket until I was halfway to the bus stop this morning, and therefore lacking time to go back and get it, thereby leaving me with no jacket at all today?)
I thought today was going to be a good day. Why did I have to be wrong?
