diet and exercise, or lack of both
Jun. 3rd, 2006 05:06 pmOh the rain it rains, all day long...but I went out in it anyway. I was out of milk and I had to go pick up my pants from the dry cleaner.
Trader Joe's is selling tzatziki. I bought some, because I had never tried it (not by that name, anyway), and because it doesn't contain anything I don't like. I think I've discovered a new favorite condiment to dip vegetables in, and it has the added bonuses of not being ranch dressing (and therefore not containing sour cream and mayonnaise), and being easy enough to make myself when I want to. If I make it myself, I'll know what sort of yogurt went into it, too.
The not containing sour cream and mayonnaise idea is the result of my deciding, yesterday, that none of my clothes fit right any more and I'm utterly sick of it. I was reading some old stuff last night and back then I weighed ten pounds less than I do now and was depressed at the idea of weighing ten pounds more than I do now. Time to do something about it, or I'll get there. It's probably partly genetic (my father has been overweight for most of my life, and his older sister is morbidly obese), but only partly. The rest of it is because I like pasta, and chocolate, and cheese, and a lot of other stuff I probably shouldn't eat as much of as I do. And I don't get enough exercise, and I know it.
