set the clock, I'm going to complain...

No laundry yesterday; the basement door was locked all day. GRRRR. Due to trombone lesson tonight, that means the soonest I can get to the laundromat is tomorrow night (and my laundry soap is locked in the basement anyway, so I have to get more). I do have enough underwear to last that long, but in this weather I can't wear anything twice, and I've been out of decent work clothes since last Monday. Everything I've got left for work clothes doesn't fit very well, and I spend all day wondering if the buttons are going to stay buttoned. Did I mention GRRRR?

And all the news is depressing. The Big Dig is a disaster, and the Middle East is a disaster, and the US government is a disaster, and none of it is getting better.

On the up side, I did get the old futon frame out of my hallway, and the new futon frame is exactly what I wanted. I'm still getting used to the height, but I don't mind. In fact, if I lie down on it, I generally fall asleep.

Also on the up side, I used the iTunes certificate I got for my birthday to replace some of the really old bootleg tapes I had from college, so now if the tapes die, I still have the contents. And I got an Amazon.com box from navraze and enochs_fable on Saturday; thanks, guys!

I've got all sorts of good ideas about what to cook for lunch this week, too. All I have to figure out is how to feel like turning the stove on when it's this hot.

So, all in all, things are good; I just needed to complain about the laundry.
