Jul. 26th, 2006 12:44 pmIt is the week it is, but I think I must not be getting enough protein in general. We're having barbecue leftovers from yesterday for lunch today, and I couldn't stay out of the leftover beef ribs.
In between carnivorous fits, I struck desk for the first time in at least a month. (Never mind the fact that there's now a pile on the floor and a pile on the filing cabinet, and a boxful of files under the desk; both piles are going away by tomorrow at the latest and the box is going away by the end of the week.)
I like my job, and I like my coworkers, but I'm really ready for vacation. Four more weeks. I still haven't decided what, if anything, I'm going to do about the lack-of-car situation. I'm tempted to take the bus down to Falmouth and ask my grandparents to come get me and take me grocery shopping afterward, and buy enough stuff for the week, and call it done. Since I'm going to see my parents in NH on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, and they've offered a ride back down from there, I think I'll go to Noank then. That simplifies my vacation week, and I don't want it to be complicated in the first place. I want to sleep, and go swimming, and build sand castles, and laze around in the hammock, and all like that there sort of stuff.
