things I haven't accomplished this week
Jul. 27th, 2006 01:47 pmYe gods, is it hot and humid out.
I would have taken today off if not for the database meeting (which was pretty much a bust this week, as far as I'm concerned. What was supposed to be a 10-minute update on the P&R database took an hour and a quarter and we never talked about senior promotions processes at all.). I would take tomorrow off if not for the staff meeting, which I have to go to in order to get questions answered. I make up a list during the week and ask them all at once at the Friday meeting, unless it's REALLY important.
I keep wanting to make quesadillas, and I never quite get there for some reason. Today it's too hot for that, but under normal circumstances, there's nothing difficult about putting cheese and spinach and mushrooms and such in a tortilla and heating up the whole works until the cheese melts. I don't know why I keep thinking it's too much of a pain in the neck to deal with.
Apparently it's going to be 90-odd degrees out on Saturday. That sounds like a good excuse to spend several hours up to the neck in water, preferably in the ocean, but I'll settle for the bathtub if I have to.
