successes

So far it's been a very good day. Expensive, but good.

- Got my hair cut this morning, and my goodness, is that better! (Hell hath no annoyance like too-long short hair.)
- Went to the mall and found:
- 2 pairs of jeans
- 2 shirts, on sale
- flannel sheets for 60% off (Macy's; $15 for a $50 sheet set.)
- Mac OSX Tiger (running; what does one do with the Dashboard?)

Off I go to the laundromat to wash the new sheets so I can come home, put the new sheets on the bed, and get rid of the old Kmart-special flannel sheets that have a big bald spot in the middle, and the old jeans with holes in inconvenient places.

Anybody out there know of anything better than soap followed by white vinegar to get beer out of a carpet?

(Memo to self: the top of the back of the futon frame is not a good place to put a non-empty beer bottle.)
