how I know work has slowed down

I get to take a couple of hours off this afternoon, hooray, to go to the dentist, hooray?

(I canceled a cleaning appointment in May for insurance and work-insanity reasons, and got put on the call-for-cancellations list, and the dentist's office called me at 6:15 last night and said "What about tomorrow?")

The only problem is the (censored) phone coverage schedule, but I got around that.
