Ahhh. Now this is weather.

I wish it had been doing this last weekend, because some of the rooms in the Gardner Museum don't get anywhere near enough light on cloudy days. Oh well. Now I know. The courtyard is quite lovely, cloudy day or otherwise.

My experimental coconut rice came out quite well, but I really shouldn't make it that often because coconut milk isn't exactly healthy. (I did cut it with chicken broth, fish sauce and lime juice, but even so...)

I have several shoulder exercises to do once a day. The physical therapist seems to think he can be of help. I hope he's right, because I want to stop being suddenly (and semi-forcibly) reminded not to do certain things with that shoulder.

None of my transplanted jade plants have died yet, which I consider a minor miracle at the very least.

Decisions, decisions...is this (in different colors) my next embroidery project, or is this? I want to do both, but I don't know in which order. I might as well get both patterns, anyway, and then decide.

Work is mostly good. For some reason it's a little less busy than it was in March and April, even though I'm still looking at 10 people on the May SOP agenda, and that's huge. And we still haven't hired another program director.

I think they might finally have turned on the air conditioning in this building. My hands have been cold all morning. We ordered a snazzy oscillating tower fan (with remote control, which for some reason I find hilarious) for my office last month because it was so hot in here, and I haven't even wanted to turn it on today.

In the long run, things are good.
