Aug. 27th, 2008 02:01 pmEye appointment this morning:
Took four hours, one of which consisted of sitting around waiting for the ophthalmologist while my eyes dilated. Not impressed with that. I am impressed with the Contact Lens Service, but of course insurance doesn't cover contact lenses, so that appointment and new (toric, since I'm now measurably astigmatic in both eyes) lenses cost me $193. I wish I could still tell that the new lenses are better, but I had to take them out to get my eyes dilated, and now everything is blurry anyway.
I probably should have called today a sick day, since I still have this cold and my eyes are blurry and tired from being poked at and all I really want to do is curl up under the desk and sleep for a while. And there's nothing much going on here today, thank goodness.
