blargh!

SOP is done, and I left work at 7:00. I got on the 66 bus at 7:35, because the 66 bus is water-soluble, and (surprise, surprise) it rained. On arriving home at 8:15 I discovered that somewhere in the building is a smoke alarm that wants its battery replaced, in pursuit of which it's going BLEEP every thirty seconds. It is somewhat difficult to decompress under these conditions. I think the culprit is in the third floor back hallway, which means it's not actually my problem, but it's gonna be my problem if it doesn't shut the hell up. There's nowhere in my apartment where I can't hear it.
