The smoke detector had been dealt with by the time I woke up this morning. Apparently it was the one in the front hall on the first floor, so I was wrong twice. I thought it was in the back hall on the third floor. Oh well, at least that's a thing I can be wrong about with relative impunity.

It took Lily two years, but on Monday night she finally went swimming in the bathtub by accident. Apparently she doesn't mind if her tail is soaking wet; she'll sit on the edge of the tub and dip it, and doesn't even notice, but she minds EXTREMELY when her feet get wet. (She usually jumps in after I drain the tub, because it holds heat very nicely. But once she's in there, she spends all her time washing her wet feet. Silly beast.)

I either need to stop staying up so late, or stop caring whether I have any functioning brain cells in the morning. If the sun would come out, it might help with the brain cells a bit; cold, overcast and raining for two weeks is marvelous weather for going back to bed.

Hm. Seems the Great Workload Shift of Aught Nine has happened, and nobody bothered to tell me. So now I get to do all the post-CAD data entry for various committees, in addition to all the evaluation committee stuff and the SOP and post-SOP stuff. I don't really mind, because we needed the Great Workload Shift of Aught Nine, but we used to talk about things like this before somebody decided that This Is How It Will Be From Now On.
