Better day today, for some reason. Possibly because the huge second wave of stuff that needed doing for P&R next Tuesday is done. Also possibly because I officially have a week off in April, and I'm having fun figuring out what to do with it. If I had two weeks, I'd fly to Vancouver and proceed south to San Francisco via Seattle and Portland. (Traveling will shoot the "pay off the student loan this year" plan in the foot, but might not kill it entirely. It depends on how many more fuel bills I get this winter.)
Early this week, I crashed the back of my hand into the corner of my desk. It's finally starting to bruise as of yesterday, but at least it only hurts if I forget about it. Now that it's visibly bruised, it's harder to forget about. But I really shouldn't have forgotten where the corner of the desk was in the first place.
Book #8: The Hollow Hills
Book #9: The Phantom Tollbooth (I should read that at least once a year!)
I love working with a small team that has a sense of humor. The junior promotions team consists of three people, one of whom is the Dean for Faculty Affairs, and we've been emailing each other about backdating junior promotions. Somehow we've gotten Star Trek and the Rocky Horror Picture Show embroiled in the process. SNERK.
