Jan. 17th, 2012 10:11 amSaturday: Looked at the weather forecast and decided that waiting for the train home with groceries in 30-degree weather was better than doing it in 20-degree weather, so went grocery shopping. Unfortunately didn't plan very well, so had to go to Petco twice (once for dry cat food and once for kitty litter). Had a couple of fairly nasty nightmares on Saturday night.
Sunday: voice lesson, which went pretty well considering my air management sucks pond water (we're working on that). Requested the next thing I work on be in a major key, since the last three have been in minor keys and I'm ready for something that sounds happy. I've got to find somewhere indoors to hang around when I get down there early; there's a park to hang around in when the weather is nice, but on Sunday it wasn't. Went home by way of Trader Joe's, as usual, and got a bit carried away buying vegetables. There are worse things to get carried away with, though.
Monday: MAJOR cleaning fit. Litterbox, bathroom (scrubbing the litterbox means scrubbing the bathtub afterward, and why not clean the rest of the bathroom while I'm at it?), cleaned the kitchen, purged and reorganized the pantry, cleaned off my desk, swept all the sweepable floors, vacuumed all the rugs, bagged up the full-size sheets to take to the MSPCA, fought through the prescription-refill voicemail system at my doctor's office, and made curried potatoes/tomatoes/chickpeas/spinach for lunch this week.
Today: Feeling less than entirely enthusiastic about the whole "upright and dressed and at work" thing. Resolved that this year I will use both of my personal days. Last year we had three (the union gave us an extra one) and I didn't use any, which sucks. I wish I could've used one today, but it's Longer Service materials day. At least that won't take more than an hour or so. Onward and upward...
