Feb. 28th, 2012 11:24 amI've been wearing my Data Wrangler hat a lot lately. On Friday I finally found out why. The senior staff is submitting some abstracts to the American Association of Medical Colleges, and I was providing data for one of them. If it gets accepted, I get listed as a contributor. Apparently for things like this you're supposed to care where in the list of contributors you get listed. I don't, though.
The sculpture I bought from Etsy arrived on Saturday, along with the guy who fixed the light in the hallway. Unfortunately the sculpture had suffered a bit in shipping (it was fastened to the bottom of the box, and one side got loose and got mashed flat). Fortunately the sculpture is made of twisted copper wire, so I could bend it back to more or less where it belongs. Unfortunately Etsy seems not to recognize my password, despite the fact that I changed it, so I can't tell the seller what happened.
I think I found a Sarah McLachlan song I don't actively dislike (Song for a Winter's Night). I heard enough of it to recognize that it was Sarah McLachlan, which put me off it, but I liked the tune so I went and looked it up anyway. It twangs, but I have a soft spot for a certain amount of twang. Dad used to listen to a country music radio station sometimes on weekends when I was little. Anyway, another one for the Fruit & Bait playlist.
The Hairy Beasts seem not to be speaking to each other. Two nights ago they were wrestling, and Lily did something that caused Snip to both swear and hiss at her. Since then they won't come within three feet of each other unless one is on the way past the other in the hall. They do both sleep on the bed, but at opposite ends. I hope the feud is over soon, because it's setting off my This Ain't Right alarm. At least it isn't the sort of feud that leads to vet bills.
I'm sure there's something useful I should be doing, but I haven't a clue what it is.
