I realize that it's easier for the physical plant people if they can flip one switch to turn the heat on and off in the entire building. However, a little flexibility regarding when they flip the switch would be nice. It's been 75 outdoors and 82 indoors for the last three days, which is unpleasant, and the heat in this building is On Until April, Dammit. It's very nice at home, though, because there's actual moving air coming in through the windows when I open them.

Also on the up side (at least for me), I found $10 in the street this morning. It was in about the same place I found $5 two weeks ago, and folded up small in the same way, so I'm starting to think somebody should put their money in a different pocket when they go running. I don't know what I'll do if I find $20 there in two more weeks.

Speaking of money and the retention thereof, I'm not going to Philadelphia in April. I keep putting off buying the train tickets, which means I don't really want to go, so I ain't. I might go in August instead, when I have two weeks off and when an air-conditioned hotel room will be a treat. I'm still taking the time off in April, but I think not being at work is more important than not being in Boston. There's nothing wrong with staying home and sleeping late for a week.
