dchenes: (katana)
I've been on Weight Watchers seriously for two weeks now and have lost six pounds. Observations:

- It works pretty well in terms of my not being STARVING by mealtime.
- I miss pasta, and cheese, and pasta with cheese on it, and almonds.
- Coffee with no milk and not enough sugar is fairly revolting, but it's better than no coffee (and better iced than hot).
- I can't tell when I've lost two pounds. I knew I'd lost some when I lost four.
- If I want something, I don't want a miniscule amount of it. I'm surprised how many times I want almonds and end up not having any because I don't want four, I want a handful.
- Work to Harvard and Comm Ave is a 45-minute walk, and 1.9 miles. I thought I was walking faster than that. Maybe I should stop counting time spent waiting for traffic lights as time spent walking.
- I can't decide whether losing all my built-up points on Fridays is good or not. It does keep me from straying on weekends (and lets me build up activity points running errands), but it would be nice if I went back to square one on Mondays instead of on Fridays.
- I like having a really over-the-top extravagance once a week, instead of little bits of extravagance throughout.
