Dec. 6th, 2013 12:05 pmFriday! Apparently my feet knew it was Friday even if my brain didn't; Friday is ATM day and I was crossing Shattuck St to go to the ATM in the BWH lobby before I remembered why I was going there. Silly brain.
Speaking of silly, Snip has done something to one of her eyebrows. It looks like she scraped it on something, but I didn't find any blood anywhere, so I have no idea how she did it, or if Lily did it to her. This is one of the times when I wish the Hairy Beasts spoke English.
Having slept on the idea for two days, I think I really do want to go to Kerala in the spring. I guess I should have applied for the five-year visa last time, since it will be four years between trips. Oh well. I'm not going to do anything about anything (visa, travel plans, etc.) until after the surgery is over with, just in case. It's too much for a "congratulations for losing all that weight" present, but it might do for a "losing all that weight and keeping it off until you leave for this trip" incentive.
Last night I discovered that of the six or seven timekeeping devices in my apartment, no two were keeping the same time. I probably ought to try to fix that. The two or three I depend on differ by about five minutes total. Still, a little consistency would be nice. I guess I'll add that to the list for tomorrow, along with "wash the floors" and "buy kitty litter" and "clear off horizontal surfaces" and "vacuum everything vacuumable" and stuff like that. I wish I didn't seem to need daylight to get some of that stuff done. Seems I also need daylight to embroider, these days; the section I'm working on now contains four very similar shades of yellow, and it's hard to see which is which except in daylight. It's coming out quite well, but I'm getting just a bit tired of yellow.
