dchenes: (katana)
Right, said Captain Najork. ADEA is over, which is good because it was one of the couple of major hurdles to get over before I get on a plane next month. The meeting itself was useful, and probably the best thing I heard was at the last session I went to (that's always how it works) and consisted of "yeah, CODA wants us to integrate basic science into clinical science, but it shouldn't all flow that way; don't forget to integrate clinical science into basic science." That tends to be an "and never the twain shall meet" scenario, like organic vs inorganic chemistry. Everybody loves one and hates the other. We had somebody drop out of the DMD program because he had taken time off to get a PhD and decided he loved research more than clinical dentistry.

Anyway. Yesterday ADEA was over at 1:30, but I had overdone it with the normal food on Monday and wasn't exactly feeling ooghly again, but had no energy whatsoever. So I went home by way of the Super 88 food court and a bowl of vegetarian pho, and then went home and didn't do anything. Including laundry, which is a major problem at this point. I won't have time to do laundry until tomorrow night at the earliest and I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to wear to work tomorrow. And then I got around to feeling ooghly again after dinnertime. That lasted through this morning, and I'm back on bananas and oyster crackers and ginger ale today. So far that seems to be working. I still don't seem to get hungry, though. And I have a completely unnecessary head twinge for some reason. (It's not a headache. It's one particular spot right above and in front of my left ear that occasionally gets an invisible toothpick stuck in it.) I think maybe I'll be daring and see how green tea goes, between work and chorus rehearsal. Because of course there's chorus rehearsal this week, and of course I have to go to it because I'll miss the allowable two rehearsals next month. What doesn't kill you, right?

BUT! It's warm out. It's warm enough to melt snow, and the snow has been melting. The birdbath is still among the missing because the back yard is in the shade, but there's actual curb sticking out of the snowbanks on Monastery Rd in at least one place. Please to be continuing with the snow-melting weather, yes?
