If I hadn't gone to ADEA, I would have done laundry on Saturday.
If I had done laundry on Saturday, I wouldn't have been completely out of clean underwear by yesterday.
If I hadn't been out of clean underwear, I wouldn't have done laundry last night.
If I hadn't done laundry last night, I wouldn't have fallen down the basement stairs.
If I hadn't fallen down the basement stairs, I wouldn't have received the corner of the laundry basket halfway between my right collarbone and my sternum.
If I hadn't hit the corner of the laundry basket, I wouldn't be waiting for the Bruise of Ages that hasn't come up yet.

At least I didn't have to go to the hospital. And if I had, this morning, I would have been wearing clean underwear.
