Jul. 10th, 2015 06:16 pmAlmost entirely excellent day today. The un-excellent part was yesterday evening, when I turned on the hot water to wash my hands upon getting home and nothing came out of the faucet. The plumber has just left, and I assume I have a new water heater, because the old one was 15 years old and one does not repair a 15-year-old water heater. (Haven't tried turning on the hot water again yet, though.)
Today has consisted of hanging around at home until I felt like going out (just after 10:00), wandering off to Washington Square for coffee (with cream in it!), wandering off to the Public Garden for the traditional swan boat ride, wandering around the financial district in search of a hole-in-the-wall Italian joint, finding it and having an excellent Caprese sandwich with pesto for lunch, wandering off to the MFA and ambling through the Hokusai exhibit and the ancient Egyptian exhibit for an hour and a half, wandering into Coolidge Corner for more coffee with cream in it and a deep tissue massage, and then wandering home again to feed the cats. The question now is, what's for dinner, and do I go out and eat it elsewhere or do I have it delivered?
