Jul. 17th, 2015 02:03 pmThe hardest part of having Lily's dental work done was leaving her at the vet this morning. Both of us were miserable. If she'd been my kid instead of my cat, I would have had to stick around so I could take her home again afterward, but at least I can take her home after 3:00 today and proceed to commence with the pain meds and the antibiotics. At least one of which is a liquid, thank goodness. Apparently she's "nervous", but that doesn't surprise me at all. She's nervous at the vet under normal circumstances, and this time she hadn't eaten anything since dinner and they knocked her out and did things to her teeth and filled her up with pain meds. I'd be nervous too. Hopefully she'll just want to curl up somewhere and I can drape the T-shirt I sweated through on Wednesday over her, so Snip might be less freaked out about her being a Pod Person.
I should probably plan to stay home and have a cleaning fit (and administer meds) tomorrow, and things should be more like normal on Sunday.
